The story begins generations ago with my great grandmother who picked cotton. For her, cotton was not fashion. It was work. It was survival. It represented sacrifice, perseverance, and doing what had to be done so the next generation could have something more.
Years later, another moment would shape the Cloth & Cotton story. The loss of a close friend became a turning point the kind of loss that changes how you look at time, purpose, and what you leave behind. Instead of allowing that loss to exist only as grief, it became part of the motivation to build something that means something.
And that is where the two stories meet. Cotton represents family history, struggle, sacrifice, and the generations that came before. Cloth is the finished, polished product: taking the raw material you were given and transforming it into something new, bold, and strong.
